Mike Flanagan is making a New Netflix horror series based on the works of Edgar Allan Edgar Allan Poe
Opening there was The Haunting of Hill Menage sending shivers down our spine, then The Persistent of Bly Manor had us shuffling behind the sofa. This year, Midnight Quite a little was the latest of Mike Flanagan's horror series to burrow its way into our brains (and watchlists) on Netflix – and on that point's plenty more where that came from.
The streamer has announced the repulsion mastermind is temporary along an eight-episode limited serial publication. We know only two things at this early stage. A) The title: The Come of the Star sign of Doorkeeper, and B) It'll be based on the industrial plant of writer Edgar Allan Poe.

Poe was a 19th Hundred writer, famed for his Gothic whole kit and boodle including The Raven, The Order-Narration Heart and, you guessed it, The Accrue of the House of Usher – a short story all but a family goaded harebrained by illness and catastrophe.
Netflix has also doubled Down on Flanagan-mania, confirming that his adaptation of Christopher Pike's new The Midnight Club will be coming to the streamer at some gunpoint in the near future.
Flanagan has already habitual the cast for that anthology series: Adia, Igby Rigney, Ruth Codd, William Chris Sumpter, Aya Furukawa, Annarah Shephard, and Sauriyan Sapkota. It began filming in March of this twelvemonth.
None release date is set for either project, though horror fans can rest easy – for once – knowing Netflix's horror roster is set to hot up momentarily.
